Soil Testing for Soil Health Workshop
Sunday, April 20th, 2-4pm EST, at Grow Food Northampton Community Gardens,140 Meadow Street in Florence, MA
In this workshop, you will learn how to take soil samples, how to interpret the results of a soil test, and how to amend your soil based on those results. In addition, we will discuss the ways that climate change and political violence are impacting soil health near and far, and explore bioremediation techniques that can support us in nurturing healthy soil in the future.

Native Plants with Nili: Elderberry Class
Tuesday, April 22nd, 6-7:30pm EST, in Northampton, MA
Gardening for the Future is teaming up with Nili Simhai of Simhai Solutions to offer a workshop all about the magical elderberry plant. In this class you will learn about the history of elderberry, why it’s an important plant for the future, discuss the ecosystem benefits, and learn how to prune an elderberry.
In addition, as a BONUS! every participant gets to take home your very own elderberry cutting and learn tips for successful propagation, as well as sample delicious elderberry products while learning about the nutritional and medicinal properties of the plant.
